The Land

The Amethyst Keep was magically raised at the head of a wide north-south running valley in the south western mountains. The Keep is surrounded on three sides by tall hills forming the head of the valley.

This land is often called “The Forgotten Lands,” as there had once been cities and peoples in this area, but a plague a century before left the area sparsely populated and wildly overgrown.

The land close to the Keep was cleared as part of raising it. Several natural springs close to the keep were magically enhanced and turned into community wells. As players emerge from the Keep, these are the only signs of civilization around.

Beyond the Keep the valley turns rugged quickly with thick hilly forests filled with creatures of every description. Only the rutted paths used by arriving refugees provide evidence of civilization in this part of the valley.

Beyond the valley are more of the low forgotten mountains. To the east lies a wide plane and the trading city of 10 Bridges. North the land narrows into a peninsula with the New Flanton on the west cost and ZQPS (Old Flanton) on the east coast.
